Faiths4Change Make do and Mend project is about reducing, reusing and recycling in crafty creative ways. Lots of ideas are shared for things to do at home.

Sadly, the clergy and the PCC at Christ Church have made the difficult decision to close our church for communal worship for the time being.
This will be initially up to February 14th, but may have to continue for longer if there has not been a significant reduction to local infection rates and hospital admissions.
The church building will remain open throughout the week for private prayer between 10am and 7pm and will continue to be cleaned every evening.
If there’s anything that we can do to help in any way during this difficult period, please don’t hesitate to call any of the numbers listed below.
With love and prayers,
Mike, Eunice & George xxx

Creator God, give us the will and the way to shine as lights of hope and compassion within our communities. May love be our watchword and the foundation upon which we build our response to this pandemic…

brother” Pope Francis

We are keeping the Christmas crib up until Candelmas Day, 2nd February, which, in Orthodox tradition is when Christmas ends. We are going to keep the outside lights on until the clocks go forward. We know that these lights bring some comfort and hope in the dark evenings.
The limits of regular Sunday worship at Christ Church is having a significant impact on our regular income. We are not currently collecting’ cash on the plate’ on Sundays. If you currently contribute in this way, please consider switching to standing order. Use the form here or contact your bank direct. You can also use this form if you would like to increase an existing standing order.
