Bringing People Together
Bringing People Together
We are a welcoming church with very strong community networks.
Our aim is to celebrate and share the Good News of God’s love for us in Christ through worship, teaching, learning, and practical action.
This will be regularly updated with services, spiritual resources and some fun stuff!
Local information, prayers and resources, updated daily.
We are thrilled to have been awarded Eco-Church bronze, silver and gold awards!
We are members of W.E.N. and there are lots of ways you can get involved to improve our quality of life to reduce carbon footprints.
The School for Monastic Living is an important aspect of the Northumbria Community, which is a worldwide, Christian Community committed to a new way for living. The following link takes you to a page which explains how prayers will be lead:
You will be invited to register to join with a few personal details and the offices will be conducted via Zoom.
Our church is partnered with the Church Mission Society and Lynn Treneary is teaching English at Chaima Christian Institute and serving the church in various ways.
We collect donated tools, refurbish them, sort them into trade kits and send them across the world for livelihood creation.
“I am a rugby player, I am an athlete, but that is what I do, not who I am. I
have other interests. I was probably a lukewarm Christian for a large part of
my life. I was probably someone who went to church, but was not really living
the principles or values of it that deeply, but I have always been a believer.
The humility that I have tried to embody throughout my life definitely comes
from knowing that everything I have has been a gift, not by my own doing,
but by the guy upstairs. In the last two or three years I have made a
conscious decision to double down in that regard.
God’s timing is always the best time.”
– Maro Itoje, British & Irish Lions Captain
Gracious Father,
by the obedience of Jesus you
brought salvation to our wayward
world:
draw us into harmony with your will,
that we may find all things restored
in him,
our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
At our centre we accept Food Bank donations, feel free to drop things at the main reception or in the two black bins outside the building.
We collect ‘cash on the plate’ on Sundays. Cash donations at other times can be put into the wall safe at the back of the Church.
If you currently contribute in this way, please consider switching to standing order. Use the form here or contact your bank direct. You can also use this form if you would like to increase an existing standing order.

Donations are via the Give a Little scheme. It works in conjunction with the financial service card payment provider, SumUp, which has the highest security and PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance standards. This method of receiving online donations is widely used by many Church of England parishes. Your donation is anonymous and you can request a gift aid form for us to reclaim income tax.
Thank you for considering this.
